Coosbay
August 14th, 2010Hi again ,
Well now we are in Coosbay and we do have Wifi. So I will make a quick post and Rich added his pictures and updated his trip journal. We went to the casino the first night and of course no one won anything but we didn"t lose much either so we still have some left to leave in Vegas when we get there. We drove along the beach yesterday and it was nice to see sand again but the temperature along the coast was in the fifties so I only put one foot in the water and then hurried back to the car. We took a path down to see the sea lions boy, were they loud. It was quite slippery and Gloria took a tumble and was sore last night hope she is better this morning. This RV park "Alder Acres" is very nice it is neat, clean, has cable TV and has 2 nice sites for walking the dogs. We leave in a couple of hours to head to California. I need to get my day started and it is time to wake Rich and the dogs. I will post from our next stop. Talk to you soon hope the 100+ weather is coming to a end for all of you. I hope our next stop is warmer then here.
Love,

Chehalis (near Seattle)
August 12th, 2010Hi
We are just leaving here we stayed 4 days and played golf twice The course was narrow with beautiful big trees and the fairways and greens were some of the best I've seen. Lahoma's sister Gloria joined us Monday she flew into Seattle. Pumpkin got sick with a bad cough and vomiting so we took her to the vet where she got a shot for the cough and pills for here Tummy. We have to put her on a bland diet and no peope food. We are currently on the road to Coosbay Oregon. We did not have wifi so I am posting this from my Blackberry And it is tough to see so I hope this is legible. We are supposed to have wifi in Coosbay so we will add more when we get there. Bye for now.

Vancouver
August 5th, 2010Hi
We are in Vancover we checked out the city and decided we liked Stanley Park more then anything in the city. The park is large and you can drive through it and see the ships in the harbor. The guys played golf this morning at a very beautiful course and Lahoma and I went shopping and got our nails done. To access the internet we have to go to the RV Park office I am sitting on a picnic bench enjoying the breeze. The weather is warm it must be in the 80's. Our next stop is in Washington it will be good to be back in the states where the prices are a little better. I hope Karen had a great birthday and I wanted to let Skylar know that I have been thinking of her and I am hoping she is having a great summer. I understand she now has pierced ears so I will have to start looking for some earrings for her. Well time to go fix dinner talk again soon.

Smithers BC Canada
July 29th, 2010I am doing 2 postings today to break up the information. You will need to scroll down to see the previous one. From Whitehorse we went to Dease Lake and just stayed overnight. It was a long drive and the road was very bad so since we were all tired we cooked a easy meal Pizza. Then we worked on some changes to our schedule and arranged for Gloria to met up with us in Seattle August 9th. We left Dease Lake early this morning and arrived in Smithers around 4. The road was better then yesterday but it was still a long day on the road. There is a lot of pretty lakes in this area and I did see a bear near the road and Bill & Lahoma saw a large Moose. As we come farther south it is warming up and no coats were needed today. In fact I need to put some of my winter clothes under and bring up my summer ones. We finally got phone service so everyone had to catch up on calls and emails then we drove into town and made tee times for tomorrow morning. This RV park is called Riverside golf and RV park but this course is just a par 3 which would be fine for me but the guys like to play a "real course". This park is very nice it has big trees and nice green areas for dog walking. Bill and Rich are out practicing putting at the "unreal course". I guess it is good enough for putting. The dogs have settled down and are napping the roads the last 2 days interrupted their napping time so they are trying to catch up. Well I need to make a few phone calls and I will try to make my next post more timely.

Whitehorse
July 29th, 2010Sorry it has been so long since I posted but the days have been full and we are tired at night so the time is flying by. From Valdez we went to Whitehorse again and this time we stayed at a different RV park much nicer. (Hi-Country RV Park). we stayed 3 nights. The first day we did a day trip driving to Skagway. The scenery was very interesting it looked like a foreign land. Skagway is one of the port cities where cruise ships dock so we were expecting the town to be bigger. All the towns and cities in Alaska are smaller then we expected. The town was small but it still managed to have many tourist shops and about 10 jewerly stores. I guess the people that go on cruises buy jewerly. We did have a nice resturant with good food. The next day we played golf and we had good weather but it did not help my game. On our last day at this stop was set aside to stock up on groceries, clean, wash clothes etc... The grocery store was different it had a lot of french brands and few of our standards one.
We got sad news on the last morning in Whitehorse. Bill heard from his sister that their step dad Al had passed away. He was quite a character and will be missed by all who knew him.
