The Fitz Report

Hello,

We woke yesterday to snow and cold but today is a bright and sunny day. Yellowstone is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! We spent the last 2 days riding through the park and stopping to gaze on the gorgeous views and the interesting animals. Yellowstone is huge.  Rich has posted some pictures and he will put more up later. We are staying in the town of West Yellowstone just outside the Park. It is a really cute small town. Well I have to go walk the dogs and get the RV ready to travel we are going to Idaho falls today.

Hello All.

Well I finally am actually retired. I never thought I would really leave work but here I am in South Dakota sightseeing and enjoying the wonderful landscape. My little doggies were glad to see me and I was equally glad to see them. The weather has been cool and there has been some rain but not too bad. But I am hoping for sunshine tomorrow. We talked to our friends Bill & Lahoma today and we will be meeting with them in 6 days in Idaho falls. Well it is getting late and everyone is asleep but me so I guess it is time to join them...

 HOUSTON WE ARE A GO FOR LIFT-OFF

   24 hours and counting.It is finally starting to sink in that we are going to Alaska.The dogs go to the groomers for a wash and hair cut in an hour.The Pom (Pumpkin) is going to get a LION cut and should look fantastic.She should also not shed as much and be a lot cooler.Cinnamon will just get a shampoo and light trim as her coat has no undercoat and she does not get uncomfortable in the heat.

   The motor home is loaded and ready to roll.Rotated the Saturns tires and washed and waxed,got the towbar installed and fueled to go !The weather for Dallas looks like it is going to be a HOTT !!! summer here.Talked to the kids in Wisconsin and they are all looking forward to seeing grandma and the dogs.I get to take the boys out on the golf course and whoop up on them youngsters.

   Well it's been an active month and it's all coming together.Tuesday morning we will see if all the planning falls into place.The motor home is ready and tomorrow(4 to go) we start the freezer,refrigerator and ice maker.Saturday(3 to go) we will do the final grocery shopping and load the food and rest of the storage containers.Monday(1 to go) we will shut down the house refrigerators and shut off water heater and washer/dryer connections and fans and all outside electric outlets.Tuesday we will have personal essentials to load and we're on the road.I will start keeping the daily log and gathering hopefully interesting information and pictures for publication.
